During the recent HSE site visits, it has been observed that Comapnay HSE Standard for Pedestrian & Vehicle Demarcation is not being implemented on all our Projects. The following conditions need to be implemented at all Projects before January 31, 2018.
• All Sites shall provide adequate means of pedestrian & vehicle demarcation / separation in areas where there is a risk of personnel being struck by moving vehicles.
• Mills type barriers are acceptable to separate slow moving track type vehicles whereas water ballast type separation barriers should be used in areas where there are fast moving wheel type vehicles.
• Where water ballast type barrier are used for pedestrian & vehicle separation these barrier must be filled with water and linked together as per the Intent of their design.
Refer to Comapnay Standard Number 19 “Pedestrian & Vehicle Demarcation”.

Hence, The Bio-Medical Waste Management Rules, 2016 have been notified to efficiently manage the generated bio-waste in the country. Every occupier or operating handling bio-medical waste, irrespective of quantity, is required to obtain authorization under section 10 of bio-medical waste management rule 2016.
