Bran Castle is a 14th century castle located in Bran, Romania that is famous for its association with the vampire Dracula from Bram Stoker's novel. The castle was originally built as a customs point and fortress by the Teutonic Knights, and was later owned by Queen Marie of Romania in the early 20th century. It became a museum in the 1950s and is now a popular tourist attraction, especially around Halloween, due to its connection to the Dracula legend despite the historical Vlad Tepes only visiting once.
