David Lunn proposes adapting the film Now You See Me into a TV series over two seasons. Each episode would be 30 minutes, with 6 episodes per season, spreading out the 2-hour film story over 12 hours total. Lunn acknowledges challenges like keeping audiences engaged over the first slow-building season and obtaining copyrights. He envisions targeting young adult and family audiences with family-friendly content. To attract viewers, one episode would feature real magic performances by celebrities like Dynamo. Lunn provides an example storyboard sequence adapting a scene from the film.
The document proposes adapting the film Now You See Me into a British TV series consisting of two seasons of 6 episodes each lasting 30 minutes. The genres will remain action, fantasy, and crime. The narrative follows magicians who pull off bank heists during their shows and the FBI agents investigating them. Constraints include needing to purchase rights and drag out the storyline to fill more episodes. Opportunities include establishing backstories in the first season to set up more action in later seasons. The target audiences are teenagers and magic fans, with secondary audiences of young children attracted by colorful magic. Cinematic ideas involve expanding on characters' backstories and having live magic performances.
1) The document analyzes the mise-en-scene elements of lighting, location, costumes, props, and sound in clips 3 and 4 of a film.
2) In clip 3, the lighting uses orange and red tones, the location is a hospital and cave, and the only costume is a hospital gown. Props include a heartbeat monitor and birthday cake. Diegetic sounds include the heartbeat monitor and footsteps.
3) Clip 4 takes place in a dark cave, with costumes reflecting different character personalities. Props include head torches, cameras, and axes. Diegetic sounds include footsteps, equipment against walls, and monster growls, while non-diegetic music builds tension.
This document describes different shot types and editing techniques for a scene depicting a car crash. It begins with a series of "slow cut" shots showing a family in their car, with shots lasting 3-5 seconds each to depict a normal conversation. However, the final slow cut shot from the daughter's point of view shows an oncoming van and that the father is distracted. The scene then cuts to "fast cut editing" over 5 seconds with multiple camera angles to intensely depict the crash. CGI is also used to show rods impaling bodies in a graphic manner. The scene ends with a slow crane shot from above the crashed cars.
This document analyzes 12 shots from a film scene involving a car accident. Shot 1 establishes the setting over 3 seconds. Shot 2 shows the characters talking for 2 seconds. Shot 3 is a 4 second point-of-view shot from the daughter's perspective. Shot 4 is a longer 7 second close-up of Paul to show something is wrong. The following shots use very brief fractions of a second to depict the crash in a realistic, impactful way, with Shot 11 showing the pole hit Paul for 2 seconds. Shot 12 lasts 18 seconds as the outro after the fast-paced climax.
Clip 3 shows various settings including a hospital room and corridor. In one scene, Sarah has a nightmare where Jessica is blowing out candles on a birthday cake in blurred lighting. Sarah later runs down the darkly lit corridor into Beth's arms. Costumes include Sarah's hospital gown and dark clothes worn by Beth and Juno, possibly symbolizing death. Props featured are the cake and heart monitor, also symbolizing death. Sound includes tense music during Sarah's run and diegetic heart monitor and footsteps.
This document defines and describes various camera shots and techniques, including close-up (CU), cutaway (CA), mid shot (MS), wide shot (WS), trombone shot, wide shot with steadicam, point of view (POV) shot with steadicam, rotational steadicam shot, and over the shoulder shot (OTSS). Each type of shot has a specific purpose, such as focusing closely on a subject's face, showing additional contextual information, or capturing a scene from a particular character's perspective. Steadicam techniques allow for smooth camera movement and rotation while maintaining focus.
The document describes 12 shots from a film scene. Shot 1 is a wide establishing shot lasting 3 seconds. Shot 2 is a behind-the-shoulder shot of a conversation lasting 2 seconds. Shot 3 is from the daughter's point of view lasting 4 seconds. Shot 4 is a close-up of Paul showing something is wrong with him, lasting 7 seconds. The final shots show a car accident in quick succession, with poles from a van hitting the car and striking Paul in the head, with the last shot serving as an outro to the climax.

The Evolution and Impact of OTT Platforms: A Deep Dive into the Future of Ent...ABHILASH DUTTA
This presentation provides a thorough examination of Over-the-Top (OTT) platforms, focusing on their development and substantial influence on the entertainment industry, with a particular emphasis on the Indian market. We begin with an introduction to OTT platforms, defining them as streaming services that deliver content directly over the internet, bypassing traditional broadcast channels. These platforms offer a variety of content, including movies, TV shows, and original productions, allowing users to access content on-demand across multiple devices. The historical context covers the early days of streaming, starting with Netflix's inception in 1997 as a DVD rental service and its transition to streaming in 2007. The presentation also highlights India's television journey, from the launch of Doordarshan in 1959 to the introduction of Direct-to-Home (DTH) satellite television in 2000, which expanded viewing choices and set the stage for the rise of OTT platforms like Big Flix, Ditto TV, Sony LIV, Hotstar, and Netflix. The business models of OTT platforms are explored in detail. Subscription Video on Demand (SVOD) models, exemplified by Netflix and Amazon Prime Video, offer unlimited content access for a monthly fee. Transactional Video on Demand (TVOD) models, like iTunes and Sky Box Office, allow users to pay for individual pieces of content. Advertising-Based Video on Demand (AVOD) models, such as YouTube and Facebook Watch, provide free content supported by advertisements. Hybrid models combine elements of SVOD and AVOD, offering flexibility to cater to diverse audience preferences.
Content acquisition strategies are also discussed, highlighting the dual approach of purchasing broadcasting rights for existing films and TV shows and investing in original content production. This section underscores the importance of a robust content library in attracting and retaining subscribers. The presentation addresses the challenges faced by OTT platforms, including the unpredictability of content acquisition and audience preferences. It emphasizes the difficulty of balancing content investment with returns in a competitive market, the high costs associated with marketing, and the need for continuous innovation and adaptation to stay relevant.
The impact of OTT platforms on the Bollywood film industry is significant. The competition for viewers has led to a decrease in cinema ticket sales, affecting the revenue of Bollywood films that traditionally rely on theatrical releases. Additionally, OTT platforms now pay less for film rights due to the uncertain success of films in cinemas.
Looking ahead, the future of OTT in India appears promising. The market is expected to grow by 20% annually, reaching a value of ₹1200 billion by the end of the decade. The increasing availability of affordable smartphones and internet access will drive this growth, making OTT platforms a primary source of entertainment for many viewers.
Best practices for project execution and deliveryCLIVE MINCHIN
A select set of project management best practices to keep your project on-track, on-cost and aligned to scope. Many firms have don't have the necessary skills, diligence, methods and oversight of their projects; this leads to slippage, higher costs and longer timeframes. Often firms have a history of projects that simply failed to move the needle. These best practices will help your firm avoid these pitfalls but they require fortitude to apply.
Implicitly or explicitly all competing businesses employ a strategy to select a mix
of marketing resources. Formulating such competitive strategies fundamentally
involves recognizing relationships between elements of the marketing mix (e.g.,
price and product quality), as well as assessing competitive and market conditions
(i.e., industry structure in the language of economics).

Mark has driven to Sydney's house. It is late October nearly

to the front door, whilst doing this he is playing with his
hair and making sure that he looks good. He is very nervous.

and black clothing.

the cinema and what they are doing.
CUT TO
The film is now half way through and we get to a scene where
Female Dracula falls in love with a human, which is being
played in the background.
MARK
Wouldn’t you think dating a vampire
would be sexy? You’re pretty much
vampire just without the blood suck-
ing, but to be honest Id prefer you
if you did suck blood, Id get the
full experience.
Sydney does not respond but looks blankly at the cinema screen
and thinks about telling Mark the truth. Sydney continues to
watch the screen and the film continues, we have a close up of
Sydney’s face.
SYDNEY
I am a vampire, Mark!
MARK
‘Course you are?
! 5
7. SYDNEY
Don’t you believe me?
Mark does not respond to Sydney's question. Sydney now stares
at Mark and then she shows him her teeth, Mark’s reaction is
full of fear. He tries to run out of the cinema.
SYDNEY
I thought you’d like a vampire girl-
friend?
MARK
I was only joking, you psycho!
Sydney grabs Mark and pulls his neck towards her and she then
bites him and drinks his blood. This will eventually knock him
out and she sits him back in his chair and continues to watch
the film.
