FAH Announced New Board Chair, New Member
The Federation of American Hospitals (FAH) announced its Board of Directors and Chairman for 2019.
We are also excited to welcome a new member – Prime Healthcare.
The FAH board is comprised of the leaders of member companies. The 2019 Chair will be Ron
Rittenmeyer, Executive Chairman and CEO of Tenet Healthcare.
“Health care will continue to be at the forefront of political and policy debates in the upcoming year.
The FAH Board, with Ron as our leader, is well positioned to advocate for common sense solutions that
will protect our ability to care for patients and meet the challenges that threaten the ability of hospitals
to serve their communities.” said Chip Kahn, President and CEO of FAH.
“I am pleased to become Chair of the Federation for what is shaping up to be a pivotal year for health
care policy. FAH members will continue building a strong advocacy platform that gives a clear voice to
patients and their healthcare needs. We remain steadfast in our commitment to provide important
perspectives to policymakers and drive solutions that we believe will improve the delivery of care in the
communities we serve,” said Rittenmeyer.
Prime Healthcare is also joining FAH in 2019.
