The Story of the book
1.Mr. Hyde's Crimes: Mr. Hyde is a sinister figure who commits violent acts, including
trampling a girl and murdering Sir Danvers Carew, while being linked to Dr. Jekyll through
a will.
2.Utterson’s Investigation: Mr. Utterson, a lawyer, grows increasingly concerned about the
connection between Jekyll and Hyde. He investigates their relationship, encounters Hyde's
strange behavior, and discovers Jekyll's involvement.
3.Lanyon's Shock and Death: Dr. Lanyon, a friend of both Utterson and Jekyll, witnesses
Hyde's transformation into Jekyll, causing him to die from the shock. Before his death, he
leaves Utterson a letter revealing the truth about the transformation.
4.Jekyll's Transformation: Dr. Jekyll explains in a letter that he created a potion to separate
his good side from his dark impulses, becoming Hyde. Over time, the transformations
occur involuntarily, and Jekyll becomes trapped in his darker self, unable to stop it.
5.Jekyll's Final Descent: As Jekyll's potion supply dwindles and he loses control over the
transformations, he knows he will permanently become Hyde, leading to his tragic end.
The novel concludes with Jekyll's final letter explaining his downfall.

• Idea: 4/5 really interesting
• Writing: 1/5 really bad writing, it is for A2 Level which i find really
boring since it doenst allow more complex words and things such
as true tension buildup
• Readability: 2/5 The idea behind the book was great it was just poorly
executed due to it being a penguin reader
• Pictures: 3/5 there are a coule pictures in the book and they are
alright
• Lenght. 3.5/5 The book has around 50 pages and is therefore a short
read but due to the lenght it coudlnt build up the tension.
• Overall rating: 2.7/5
