HARLEM’S
VERY OWN
PLACES AND SPACES I’VE BEEN.
BEAT magazine interviews and congratulates the music
industry’s newest member from Harlem, New York
Rohan Willis on his first album ‘Places and Spaces I’ve
Been ’.
Hi Rohan, firstly we as a team would like to congratulate you
on the release of your first album.
Hello there and yeah yeah, why thank you, it does mean
a lot. What have yo tried to reflect through your music?
Yeah erm i feel as though this is a big achievement right now
because it reflects my journey that I’ve taken to get to this
point, which is evident from what I’ve named the album.
Ahh yes, so reviewing your album we noticed you had
collaborated with many other artists like Pharrell Williams,
Iggy Azalea, Frank Ocean, with whom did you enjoy workink
the most?
Ahaha, that’s a tough question...haha, well I really can’t choose
they were all so incredibly talented, each individual had such
unique ideas to contribute towards this album, they all had
individual tastes and to be honest with you, my album wouldn’t
be the same without them, I loved working with each and every
one of them. It was a great honour.
