MNS also offers Summer Programs for children ages 6 months - 6th grade.

5th Grade Trip to Camp Fraser
The 5th grade students took a trip to Camp Fraser in Virginia to expand their STEM education. The Fort Worth Nature Center & Refuge is hosting one-day summer camps from June 9th to July 21st for children entering kindergarten through 6th grade. On June 9th, there will be opportunities for media to photograph children interacting with wildlife ambassadors like owls and snakes, and to interview the president and vice president of the Friends of the Fort Worth Nature Center nonprofit. The camps aim to combat nature deficit disorder by providing hands-on outdoor activities led by naturalists to help children learn about the wildlife and nature at the 3,600-acre nature center and refuge.

Down On The Farm
- 2. Hosting an event for 220 active children requires a very tight time schedule. The children were divided into 3 separate groups to ensure each one participated in all of the activities. THE SCHEDULE WORKED…..!!!!!!!!
- 3. All of our young guest received an animal hat --- perfect for the occasion.
- 4. Story Telling Isn’t just story telling any more…..there’s dancing, singing, games, and of course a story. Jill Morse, Children's Librarian from Carnegie Library captured the attention of so many little ones.
- 6. Shaggy Mountain Petting Zoo
- 7. Nature Walk Ben Petry, Niko Mallas and JoAnn Welsh guided the children on a wonderful, informational nature walk.
