FACTS

    • Born              in 1880 Died in 1964.

    • Was               born in little rock Arkansas.

    • There    was nothing bland about him. He was Born into the
        Military. His father was a Captain of an Infantry that was
        assigned to protect civilians and railroaders from
        “Menaces”(Indians).

CALL OF DUTY

    • In  july 1941 MacArthur was recalled to active duty and
        became “Commander MacArthur”.

    • Japan   invaded Philippines and pushed out MacArthur he
        launched many offensives.

    • In  1945 Harry truman appointed MacArthur Supreme Allied
        Commander. Was placed in charge of the formal surrender of
        Tokyo.

WWII

    • MacArthur    was commander of the pacific and When Japan
        Attacked pearl harbor he took that as a devastating blow to
        his pride.

    • Along    with MacArthur, Chester Nimitz(a naval commander of
        the pacific) wanted to seek revenge on Japan for the attack on
        their fleet.

RETIREMENT.
    • MacArthur     returned to the US and settled to live the rest of
        his days in Washington D.C.

    • The    people welcomed him back as a war hero. He happily
        lived the rest of his days and eventually died on april 5,1964 at
        age 84.

    • He  was honored with a state funeral. He was buried at
        Douglas MacArthur Memorial in Norfolk Virginia.
