Dongtong village is located in Sangkhom District, Nongkhai Province in Northeast Thailand with a population of around 500 people. The village economy relies on agriculture including rice, corn, tapioca, pineapple and rubber trees. Notable places in Dongtong include Padak Temple which is a meditation and prayer site, a 210 million year old stone yard with panoramic views, Punokkraba Temple with a tall bell tower to help control forest fires, and Peangdin Cave which local legend says is protected by a Naga spirit.
