But the magic of the Finale was that there was no

universe to stop! However, the Doctor had to

This Boxset brings us the story of Kamelion
the Robot, but was it worth the hassle I
had at Asda?
Kamelion: Probably one of the most unknown companions in Doctor Who, or is
he? This Boxset brings the two stories Kamelion featured in: The King’s Demons
and Planet of Fire, alongside a special edition edit of Planet of Fire. For those of
you who don’t know Kamelion was a real robot who became a part-time
companion in the Fifth Doctor era, who caused many problems on set.
Before I begin, let me tell you a quick story about buying this. I used the self
checkout in Asda and It wouldn’t take my card! ASDA HATES ME! But was this
Boxset worth all that? Well, lets take a look...
The First story, The Kings Demons, isn’t one of the greatest stories in the
world. It is pretty slow and gets boring by the end of the first part. However,
the special features on this first disc make up for it. The main feature,
Kamelion: Metal Man, is a brilliant insight at the short history of Kamelion.
Peter Davison gave some amazing comments which made me laugh!
Planet of Fire is a very good story! Although it was fairly low in the Top 200
Stories poll last year, I thought it was a very clever way to introduce Peri and
see the exit of Turlough and Kamelion, Despite Peri’s on and off accent, her
acting lived up to it, introducing a new, and to be a much loved companion. The
story itself was also a very nice look at the history of the companion Turlough,
and this gave a nice exit for the not so loved companion.
The features were very good! The best is probably the Remembering Anthony
Ainley, the actor who played the Master in both these stories. It gave a very
nice insight in his life on and off camera with contributions from many cast
members.
Overall, this Boxset is fairly good, but the stories aren’t brilliant... But it was sort
of worth the Asda Disaster...

So, after years of waiting, Nyssa,
Tegan and Turlough are back
together with the Fifth Doctor.
The Eleventh Doctor is here, The first part is full of mystery,
and now, he’s in novel form, beginning straight after the
but was his debut novel a Black Guardian Trilogy. It is
brilliant to hear Tegan in audio,

This novel has had mixed reviews, amazing! Hearing the Doctor,
and I can understand why, This Nyssa and Turlough also made
book’s not everyone’s cup of Tea, you feel like you were there,
but I think it’s brilliant! and the cliff-hanger, was just,
amazing...
Overall an amazing first part,
the rest will be reviewed in the
The novel is very heavy on Sci-Fi,: from Quantum
future!
Mechanics to gooey aliens to bases on the moon and in the
middle of deserts. The writer, Justin Richards, portrayed the
Doctor and Amy’s character very well. From the madness of
the Doctor to the cleverness of Amy Pond. The story also
has some brilliant descriptive pieces, for example, the alien
is described so well, you had a clear picture in your head of
what it was. This was the same for most of the other
characters, however some weren't.
However, it seemed that the story was a little slow to get it
started. The alien action doesn't really begin until half way
during the book. It was a bit like Twilight, very slow to get
started, but a big powerful plot after the slow start...
On the whole, this story was very good, but a bit slow at
the start!
