Program International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) telah dimulai sejak tahun 1940 dan dikembangkan sebagai wahana diplomasi melalui kegiatan pertukaran dan dialog. Melalui program ini pemerintah Amerika berupaya untuk membangun pemahaman bersama sekaligus memperkenalkan budaya Amerika kepada masyarakat global.
Khusus untuk program IVLP 2011*, pemerintah Amerika secara khusus mengembangkan tema “Social change trough the arts” dan mengundang sekitar 21 peserta dari 19 negara. Para peserta yang diundang adalah seniman, musisi, penulis, manajer dan para aktivis budaya yang mengembangkan kegiatan seni dan budaya untuk mendorong proses perubahan di negara masing-masing.
*Program IVLP 2011 diselenggarakan pada 19 Agustus s/d 12 September 2011.

Few hours before Hurricane Irene hits NYC we've visited local community garden at Barry Street, looking at Manhattan from the distance and cook for the dinner. Thank god I got a date with Irene tonight at Amanda's safe place in Brooklyn. On the menu: Opor Ayam and Sayur Lodeh. Bring it on Irene ;P
