Story Men/ Women: They have the job of thinking of the initial ideas and the
development of the story, this includes thinking of things, like the plot, jokes,
characters, and situations. They tend to draw the basic sketches so they don’t need
to be amazing, at art.

Caricaturists: This is one of the hardest jobs out of the lot, they design the
personalities of the characters, they have to combine animal characteristics and
human characteristics They take all these animal characters and give them their
human characteristics.

Layout Artists: They make the potential finished scenes of the animation but also
have to keep in the Story men/women’s plot, gags etc. They draw the key scenes of
the film.

Background artists: They draw the points in between the important parts of the film.
they don’t draw any characters, but only the background/set for the film. the
background artists are some of the more experienced cartoon artists.

The Animator: He/She is responsible for the mood of the film, he will act out things
like gestures/facial expressions/jokes etc in real life, and then recreate it on paper in
picture form. He/She will also take images from the assistant animators and will
change things to a scene to improve the film.

Assistant Animators: These are responsible for the final animation. Firstly they have
to find out about things like, the mood of the film, the characters involved, and
everything like that, They take the animators sketches and make the final thing.

Inbetweeners: By the name you can guess, the inbetweeners do everything in
between the assistant animators, and the animators, they help with the movement of
the animation.

The Director: The director must know everything about the animation/film as a
whole, from what the sketches look like to the personalities of the characters, the
Director has to inform Walt Disney about the film/animation.
