The government of Andhra Pradesh issued an order to revise the items and norms of assistance provided from state and national disaster relief funds for damage caused by natural calamities between 2010-2015. The assistance for fully damaged houses was increased to Rs. 35,000 for pucca houses and Rs. 15,000 for kutcha houses. Assistance was also provided for severely damaged houses, partially damaged houses, damaged huts, and cattle sheds attached to houses. These revised norms apply to all victims of natural disasters in the state effective January 16, 2012.
