The house is in a state of disarray. The living room rug is covered in muddy paw prints and wood shavings. The couch cushion has a perfect brown paw print stamped into it and the pillow looks tie-dyed from being chewed on. The kitchen table is cluttered with papers, keys, glasses and food items while dirty dishes fill the sink. Dirty laundry piles up in the hamper and on the floor, with clothes in the washer taking on a musty smell. In the bathroom, a wet towel and underwear lay on the floor alongside a dirty tub with a wad of hair clogging the drain. The bedroom is unmade with pillows and clothes strewn around and on

The floor has a film of muddy paw prints, feet, and shoes, and the usually cream colored
spaces on the rug are now almost brown. There are wood shavings sprinkled amongst the paw
prints and a pile of chewed up bark is in the center of the rug. The pillow on the couch looks like
it has been tie dyed light green and brown. Next to it a perfect brown paw print is stamped into
the couch cushion.
The kitchen table is covered with papers, folders, keys, glasses, a bag of gym clothes, air
freshener, dog nail clippers and a muzzle, and in the middle is a vase of flowers and a candle. In
the kitchen sink are last night’s dinner dishes, this morning’s coffee cups, and plates from the
pizza we had after school.
The laundry is piled high on the 4 foot hamper, two piles of boy clothes are next to it. In
front of the dryer is a basket filled with clothes that are spilling into it. The clothes in the washer
have a musty smell and will need to be rewashed.
In the bathroom a wet towel lays on the floor with a pair of “The Simpsons” boxers on
top of it. A nasty wad of hair covers the drain of the dirty ringed bathtub, and there is only one
roll of toilet paper left.
The bed in the bedroom is unmade and several pillows lay on the floor around it along
with jeans, t-shirts, socks and last night’s cereal bowls. A pile of dirty clothes lay in front of the
closet which is strewn with skirts, shirts and blue jeans. Actually there are two closets that look
like this.
On the front porch is an ashtray piled with cig butts spilling off onto the table that is
covered in hammers, screwdrivers, a clay pot, bug spray, and an old cup of coffee half full.
