3. ABOUTME
I’m Lee Zhi Ying, you can call me Elena. I’m 19 years
old and born in Perak. I’m a graphic design student
currently pursuing Diploma in Graphic Design at
Saito University College.
I’m a self-motivated & hardworking person, I have
strong interest in graphic design and photograph.
My philosophy in my life is Be as you wish to seem.
I’m currently working on improving my design skills
and also soft skills.

4. MYPASSION
The reson I chose to study design because I like
things that are unique and creative. I really admire
designers that are able to create beautiful art. This
inspired me to become a creative designer.
My dream is to become a famous creative designer
and photographer. I also plan to open my own
studio have collaboration with an entertainment
company.
My hobbies is acrylic painting, graphic design and
photography.

best known for her engaging portraits, particularly of
celebrities, which often feature subjects in intimate settings

7. LEARNINGJOURNEY COMPUTER GRAPHIC DESIGN

In this subject I had learn the skills to utilize Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
At the most basic level we learned to use the pen and other tools to trace an aircraft using
vector graphics. From there we proceeded to using the lasso and selection tools to crop
and manipulate images, brushes and the creation of special effects using Photoshop.
Finally, we explored layout design using InDesign. The importance of learning all these would
translate into our ability to visualize ideas and a creative template for advertising and publicity.
We can utilize these skills in many areas including book design, branding, illustration, page
layout and typography.

8. LEARNINGJOURNEY TYPOGRAPHY
I learned about the technical details of readability, kerning, and tracking of the alphabets.
We started with the basic principles of typography as well as how to write calligraphy and
redesign fonts. At the advanced level we used typeface and space to create a booklet,
poster and brochure, I also learned about the differences between a brochure and a flyer.
Type is a way to convey meaning, they have a personality, a flavor as well as convey emotion
and mood. These practices enables me to become a typographer, graphic designer that is
capable of arranging words, letters, numbers, and symbols for publication.

9. LEARNINGJOURNEY PHOTOGRAPHY
Photography. We learned about the different types
of cameras, direction of light and the rules of
composition. We started with the use of a digital camera,
what is the difference between film photo and digital
photos, how to control the light, rules of composition,
Bokeh and how to use Photoshop to edit and enhance
images.

10. LEARNINGJOURNEY PHOTOGRAPHY
For the advanced level I learned film photography;
how to develop film in the dark room and the related materials
and techniques. I also explored shooting products professionally
using lighting and composition. I am now capable of capturing
the best photos based on different setups and environments.
The utilization of this subject can be in the form of product
shots, a commercial photographer that captures images
used for books, advertisements and other media.

11. LEARNINGJOURNEY ADVERTISING
Advertising. We learned how to produce advertisements
for commercial products or services using various medias.
We began by learning about the different types of
advertising, how layout and formatting is used in
newspaper and magazine ads. An interesting topic we
learned was the SWOT analysis where it is a critical
process to be done before we create our ads.

12. LEARNINGJOURNEY ADVERTISING
For the more technical part we learned how to draw
storyboards and write scripts for TV and Radio commercials.
With proper product and competitor analysis we can strategize
approaches to cater to the different audiences using our
versatile design skills based on the needs of the client.
