Physics in day to day life
Introduction
The topic on which We are going to give our
presentation is “PHYSICS IN DAY TO DAY LIFE”. It is very
Vast Topic so to give all the information about the topic
is not possible But we have try to present Before you
the most of the valuable And useful information about
the topic.
What is physics?
 Physics is a Natural science that involves the study of
matter and it’s motion through space time, along with
related concepts such as energy and force. More broadly,it
is the general analysis of Nature, conducted in order to
understand how the universe behaves.
 Physics is word derived from Greek word physis meaning
Nature
 So, physics is revealing laws of nature from observed
events in physics.
Branches of physics
 Classical Mechanics
 Thermodynamics
 Electricity and Magnetism
 Optics
 Modern physics
PHYSICS IN DAILY LIFE
 The most basic of the sciences, physics,is all around us
every day. If you’re ever wondered what makes lightning.
Why a boomerang returns, how ice skaters can spin so
fast,”why waves crash on the beach, how that tiny
computer can do complicated problems,or how long it
takes light from a star to reach us,you have been thinking
about some of the same things physicists study every day.
So, it is related with our lives merely.
PHYSICS IN DAILY LIFE
 Today we do most of our daily routine Works
using electrical appliances. The use of
electronic devices is growing day by day. The
use of electronic devices is very common at
home,in schools and at work.
 Nearly all the working places and living
places have computers, television, radio,
telephone, mobile phone,fax,air conditions,
camera etc.
 All these things are gifts of physics to
mankind & they have a very direct impact on
our lives.
PHYSICS IN DAILY LIFE
 When we walk or run, our motion is part
of laws of mechanics.
 We eat food which undergoes chemical
reactions producing heat energy which is
converted into mechanical energy.
 When we speak, we produce sound
properties of which like pitch and
intensity are studied in physics.
Some examples of Daily life using
physics
1. Alarm clock
2. Walking
3. Internet
4. Ball point pen
5. Batteries
1. Alarm clock
 Physics gets involved in your daily life right
after you wake up in the morning.
 The buzzing sound of an alarm clock helps
you wake up in the morning as per your
schedule.
 The sound is something that you can’t see,
but hear or experience. Physics studies the
origin, propagation, and properties of
sound. It works on the concept of Quantum
Mechanics.
2.Walking
 Now, when you get ready for your college,
whatever medium of commutation is, you
certainly have to walk up to a certain
distance. You can easily walk is just
because of physics.
 However, when a banana peel comes under
your foot, you suddenly fall. Now, what
makes you fall? Well, it’s due to the
reduced friction between your shoes and
the surface of the road because of the
slippery banana peel.
3. INTERNET
 INTERNET in layman language is nothing
but a Group of data Which are invisible in
nature but can be seen on computers.
 INTERNET is a grid of digital and analog
Signals which are Modulated and
demodulated into each other using a Mo-
DEM.
 Internet Come under WAVE mechanics
because internet Is motion of data in the
form of services.
4. Ball point pen
 Whether you are at your workplace or in
your college, a Ball Point pen is your
weapon. Had physics not been there, you
would not have able to write with a Ball
Point pen on a paper.
 In this case, the concept of gravity comes
into play. As your pen moves across the
paper, the ball turns and gravity forces the
ink down onto the top of the ball where it
is transferred onto the paper.
5. Batteries
 Whether in cellphones, cars, torches,
toys, or any other appliance, batteries act
as saviors of electricity. Batteries work on
the principal of capacitance. Since the
late 18th century, capacitors have been
used to store electrical energy.
 Benjamin Franklin was the first to coin the
phrase”battery”for a series of capacitors
in an energy store application.
Conclusion
 PHYSICS IS THE MOST FUNDAMENTAL OF THE
SCIENCES. Physics is beautiful. Physics teach
us to think. Physics gives us a new
Appreciation of the world around us.
Thanking you!
