Our film would be best distributed by the independent film company Curzon Artificial Eye, as they specialize in distributing low-budget, independent films like ours. They have had success distributing similar films. The film would be distributed across the UK, USA and select European countries where the plot would be understandable. Distribution methods would likely include streaming online or straight-to-DVD/video, as these have been more successful recently than theatrical releases, and appeal more to our target 15-25 age range audience. Examples like Beasts of No Nation and Mascots found success releasing initially on Netflix, showing that independent films can do well utilizing online streaming services.
This document provides guidance on searching databases to find scholarly articles. It recommends starting with broad search terms and using Boolean operators to refine results. The document also suggests limiting results to peer-reviewed journals, full text articles, and relevant subject headings. Once the number of results is smaller, the searcher can add more specific keywords to explore topics in depth using a "berrypicking" search strategy. The precise tools may vary by database, but effective search strategies can be transferred across databases.

Physical education, often abbreviated to Phys Ed. or P.E., is a subject taught in schools around the world. It is usually taught during primary and secondary education, and encourages psychomotor learning by using a play and movement exploration setting to promote health and physical fitness.[1] Activities in P.E. include football, netball, hockey, rounders, cricket, four square, racing, and numerous other children's games. Physical education also teaches nutrition, healthy habits, and individuality of needs.[2]
Physical education programs vary all over the world. When taught correctly, P.E. class can produce positive effects on students' health, behavior, and academic performance.[3]

Young Portuguese children participating in a school race.
The main goals in teaching modern physical education are:[4]
To expose children and teens to a wide variety of exercise and healthy activities. Because P.E. can be accessible to nearly all children, it is one of the only opportunities that can guarantee beneficial and healthy activity in children.
To teach skills to maintain a lifetime of fitness as well as health.
To encourage self-reporting and monitoring of exercise.
To individualize duration, intensity, and type of activity.
To focus feedback on the work, rather than the result.
To provide active role models.
It is critical for physical educators to foster and strengthen developing motor skills and to provide children and teens with a basic skill set that builds their movement repertoire, which allows students to engage in various forms of games, sports, and other physical activities throughout their lifetime.[5]
These goals can be achieved in a variety of ways. National, state, and local guidelines often dictate which standards must be taught in regards to physical education. These standards determine what content is covered, the qualifications educators must meet, and the textbooks and materials which must be used. These various standards include teaching sports education, or the use of sports as exercise; fitness education, relating to overall health and fitness; and movement education, which deals with movement in a non-sport context.[5]
These approaches and curriculums are based on pioneers in P.E., namely, Francois Delsarte, Liselott Diem, and Rudolf von Laban, who, in the 1800s focused on using a child's ability to use their body for self-expression. This, in combination with approaches in the 1960s, (which featured the use of the body, spatial awareness, effort, and relationships) gave birth to the modern teaching of physical education.[6]

The DFES Fitness Testing is part of the next stage of the recruitment after the online application and aptitude testing.
The 1st Fitness testing involves the Beep Test which is also known as Shuttle Run Test.
The Beep test aims to measure an applicant’s level of cardiovascular fitness and may also be used at later stages to make sure that a candidate can maintain the minimum required level.
Basically, the main goal is to run for as long as possible, at an increasing pace, between two markers set 20 metres apart. The starting pace is very slow (about a slow jog pace), and it increases over time. Your final result will be recorded.
Before doing the beep test, you will also undertake a grip strength test with 2 to 3 trials. Only the highest result for each hand shall be recorded.
For the beep test, you must attain a level of 9.6 to be considered further. However, aim to go beyond 9.6 as your maximum result will be rated compared with other applicants.
Not getting 9.6 will disqualify you from continuing through the process.
For the beep test, you must attain a level of 9.6 to be considered further. However, aim to go beyond 9.6 as your maximum result will be rated compared with other applicants.
Not getting 9.6 will disqualify you from continuing through the process.
As preparation for the beep test, as this is a running test, you can prepare and improve your performance by running and practising the beep test.
There is also a programme inside our membership on how to rapidly improve your beep test results @ www.firerecruitmentaustralia.com.au
Now let’s proceed to the 2nd Fitness testing which is a series of physical aptitude tests.
This series of tests aim to measure an applicant’s ability to meet the physical requirements of a Firefighter including endurance, strength and fitness. They are designed to simulate the physical tasks expected of Firefighters in their line of work such as carrying heavy equipment upstairs, dragging hoses, search and rescue, using heavy manual tools and handling ladders.
The first physical aptitude test is the Simulated Heavy Tool Operation.
This assessment is designed to simulate the critical task of using rescue equipment to gain access in an emergency situation. This tests the candidate’s upper and lower body strength and muscular endurance
In this test, the candidates are required to hold cutters and spreaders (weighing just under 20kg) against a variety of points on a vehicle for specified times, without excessive movement.
The second physical aptitude test is the Simulated Hose Drag.
This test is designed to simulate the critical task of advancing a charged (water filled) hose line to the scene of a fire. This test assesses a candidate’s physical strength and endurance, and ability to follow instructions.
In this test, the candidate drags a water-filled hose to multiple specified points within a designated timeframe.
The third physical aptitude test is the Height Anxiety Test.
This test aims to simulate the demands of the critical task of climbing multi-storey stairwells carrying essential firefighting equipment and hauling equipment up through a vertical distance
This is a functional capacity test designed to test an applicant’s endurance, physical strength, the ability to follow instructions and identify their susceptibility to vertigo and/or acrophobia.
In this test, the candidate climbs a ladder and then a stairwell, carrying equipment, to a tower, hauls up equipment, and subsequently returns to the ground.
The fourth physical aptitude test is the Confined Space Anxiety Tunnel Crawl.
This test is designed to test an applicant’s ability to operate in a confined, dark environment and to identify their susceptibility to claustrophobia or high levels of frustration caused either through wearing a face mask or the confined space.
In this test, candidates crawl through a tunnel system undertaking tasks and manoeuvring through various shapes within a specified timeframe. The crawl increases in difficulty throughout the course.
The fifth physical aptitude test is the Simulated Casualty Rescue.
This task simulates the critical task of removing a victim from an emergency situation. It tests the applicants’ aerobic and anaerobic capacity and upper and lower body strength.
In this test, the candidate carefully drags a dummy through a course as directed within a specified timeframe.
The sixth physical aptitude test is the Equipment Handling.
These tests are designed to simulate the demands of accessing, removing and replacing essential firefighting equipment from a firefighting appliance.
They also assess the applicant’s upper body strength and ability to follow instructions.
