This document summarizes the 5th major revision of the HTML specification. It introduces new features to help web application authors and introduces new elements based on prevailing authoring practices. Special attention is given to defining clear conformance criteria for user agents to improve interoperability. The document provides the status of the specification and instructions for providing feedback.
