Economy Denmark has the major fishing industry and the large merchant fleet. Its main industries are about food, chemicals, machinery, metallurgy, theelectronic equipment and transportation, beer, paper and wood. Tourism also occupies an important place in the business of the country.
History To century VIII to X century, the Danes, also known as Vikings, along with the Norwegians and the Swedes, have invaded the trade in the four corners of Europe. Today, the Danes boast to live in a state that provides a solid social protection to all its citizens.
Politics Denmark is a constitutional monarchy governed by the Constitution of 1953. The unicameral Parliament or Folketing, is made by 179 deputies elected.  Among the most famous Danish include the famous writer of children's tales, Hans Christian Andersen, the writer Karen Blixen and the designer Arne Jacobsen. The Danish film won international fame thanks to the experimental film director, Lars von Trier.
