If Iran sanctions are lifted, who would benefit most from investment and trade opportunities? This presentation looks at Iran's current state, a 'missed opportunity' analysis comparison with Mexico and Turkey, and a forward looking view of likely beneficiaries of sanctions removal based on investment, trade finance and legacy relationships. In short, the West is less important to Iran that it once was. China, India, Japan, Korea and Turkey are and will likely continue the be the main drivers of Iran's economy and its re-integration into the global economic system. This presentation was originally delivered at the Global Trade Review conference in Dubai in February 2015.
