The Deepwater Navigator is a 1971 drillship upgraded in 1999 and 2011. It is 548 feet long and can operate in up to 7,218 feet of water and drill to 30,000 feet. It has accommodations for 130 people and is flagged in the Marshall Islands. The drillship is equipped with a 185 foot derrick, drawworks rated at 1,325,000 pounds, mud pumps that can generate 5,000 PSI, and a 21 inch marine riser system. It is powered by eight diesel engines that drive generators and has a station keeping system to maintain position.
