This document lists several types of deep-sky objects including open clusters which are groups of stars, globular clusters which are spherical collections of stars, nebulae which are clouds of gas and dust in space, dark nebulae which are opaque clouds of dust blocking light from background objects, planetary nebulae which are glowing shells of ionized gas ejected from dying stars, and galaxies which are systems of stars, gas, and dust.
