The Dead Sea is located in Israel and is the lowest point on Earth at 413 meters below sea level. Evaporation and human activities like irrigation and salt production contribute to the Dead Sea having such a low elevation. The shoreline of the Dead Sea is the lowest dry land on Earth. Cold water affects thinking ability and physical response time, increasing risk of accidents, so wearing insulated material is important even in tropical waters as body temperature decreases.
