restaurants close by.

3. MAWSMAI Cave
This is MAWSMAI Cave, also called MAWJYNGBUIN Cave. An eerie darkness prevails
inside the cave. A narrow road winds through the cave amidst the jungle of stalactites
hanging from the roof and stalagmites growing up from the floor. They come in varied sizes
and shapes.Entry fee to the cave is Rs.10/- and Rs 50/- is extra for your camera (mobile is
free-of-charge).The path inside cave is narrow and tortuous. Visitors have to move in a file
and carefully as rock formations have rendered the path difficult to negotiate, particularly if
you are holding a heavy DSLR camera. Place lense-hood onto lense. Though are electric
lamps are glowing at places overhead , the cave inside is expectedly dark. I've witnessed
some visitors returning after covering about one-fifth of the cave's passageway. You will find
outcrops of stalactites of weird design, some layered with moss and algae matte. At some
places, though, I found water dripping from the cave roof that will one day give birth to weird
shape stalactites one day! But nothing spectacular. I found nobody saying 'satisfied' or 'good'
after visiting this cave. However, please get refreshments outside the cave to eliminate your
disappointment. There are are tea-stalls, restaurants and a variety of stalls of tourist attraction
in large open space outside.
