Run programs up to 100x faster than Hadoop MapReduce in memory, or 10x faster on disk, offering over 80 high-level operators that make it easy to build parallel apps. And you can use it interactively from the Scala, Python and R shells. Spark powers a stack of high-level tools including Spark SQL, MLlib for machine learning, GraphX, and Spark Streaming. You can combine these libraries seamlessly in the same application.
Spark runs on Hadoop, Mesos, standalone, or in the cloud. It can access diverse data sources including HDFS, Cassandra, HBase, and S3.

A presentation by Zohar Elkayam, Solutions Architect at Aerospike Israel from the IronSource meetup in Israel (December 2019).
The topic of this talk was Nested CDT (list and map) improvements in Aerospike version 4.6 and 4.7.
This included an explanation about data modeling and code samples of such implementation.
RHadoop is an open source project aiming to combine two rising star in the analytics firmament: R and Hadoop. With more than 2M users, R is arguably the dominant language to express complex statistical computations. Hadoop needs no introduction at HUG. With RHadoop we are trying to combine the expressiveness of R with the scalability of Hadoop and to pave the way for the statistical community to tackle big data with the tools they are familiar with. At this time RHadoop is a collection of three packages that interface with HDFS, HBase and mapreduce, respectively. For mapreduce, the package is called rmr and we tried to give it a simple, high level interface that's true to the mapreduce model and integrated with the rest of the language. We will cover the API and provide some examples.

Database Testing involves the testing of database triggers and logical views which are going to support database refactoring. It performs module testing of database functions, triggers, views, SQL queries etc. It validates database tables, data models, database schema etc. It checks rules of Referential integrity.
Data of any application is always critical from a business perspective. If basic database operations such as insert, update delete are performed without testing database for consistency then there is a risk of entire system crash. Database testing is nothing but finding errors in the databases to eliminate them.
System Testing and Integration: Test Strategy for BrahmaputraOPNFV
Testing and performance characterization are key capabilities being developed by the OPNFV community towards deployable NFV solutions. In this presentation, representatives from Orange, Ericsson and Intel will review test strategy for the OPNFV B-release describing scope and work flow of test projects. Experiences from the initial release as well as existing infrastructure and aspects common to all test projects will be discussed, including tooling and relation to continuous integration. In addition, details of how the overall OPNFV test framework shall be enhanced and extended, will also be covered. The presentation will also explain how new OPNFV developers can approach testing new features and interact with other test projects.
Database Web Application Usability TestingTim Broadwater
TechSmithMoraewas used on a laptop computer to conduct usability testing of the newly designed WVU Libraries Database web application. This round of usability testing was internal and focused on WVU Libraries primary target audience.
Lets break some code. In this workshop we will be going over some of the fundamental concepts of software testing and take a hands on approach to writing Unit and Integration tests. We will cover topics such as mocking, stubbing, database patching and how this can all fit into a continuous integration environment like Jenkins.
