DATA SCIENCE
MUHAMMAD ZEESHAN IQBAL
DEPARTMENT OF COMPUTER SCIENCE AN
UET PESHAWAR JALOZAI CAMPUS
AIM OF THE PRESENTATION:
• To generally understand data science
• Understand the behavior of the science of data
INTRODUCTION:
• What is data science?
• A data science is a technique used to extract knowledge
from data in various forms
• Managing data and converting them to the information is
known as data science
• When these information are combined to gather and some
decision are taken out forms knowledge
OVERVIEW
• The data science is a newly developing technology and has a
rich benefits for todays world.
• In 2016 there were no a specific definition for data science.
• However the people used the following terms to call data
science
• Data analytics
SO WHAT IS DATA SCIENCE ?
Activity: 2 minutes
Any Idea!
COMPOSITION:
• Data science is the intersection of hacking skills, computing
statistics, and knowledge.
• These are the pillars of data science
• A hacking is the ability to build things and find clever solution
to problems
• Mathematics & statistics, ability to solve problems through
linear algebra
• As this subjects we are studying in this semester, so be prepare
BIG DATA:
• Organizing the big data through techniques
• Using HADOOP, MAPREDUCE AND SPARK
EXAMPLES
• Following are the users of data science
• NETFLIX
• GOOGLE FLU
• OBAMA COMPAIGN
• ALI BABA GROUP
• AMAZON
OPPORTUNITY
• Data science is no more than a field of vast knowledge and
experience
• Today a data scientist is earning much more than any post
• A private company DICE ANALYTICS, is organizing workshops
and training programs working for the education in Data
science in Islamabad
CHALLENGES
• Cost sensitivity
• Requires high experience
• Strong network bond
USES/IMPLEMENTATION
• Some are
• Fraud detection
• Intrusion detection
• Malware detection
CONCLUSION
• The benefits of the data science has a wide range.
• It enhance the data mining's
• Can develop a various reforms in digital world.
Thank you
