2. Part 1: Cyrus
• Who is Cyrus
• Two sides:
• Side 1: Ali’s supposed friend who she lived
with in a basement who then stole her things
and cut her with a knife, as seen in her
flashbacks.
• Side 2: A victim of Ali’s, she is blackmailing
him to do things like confess to Tanner, he is
under her control.

3. Did Ali Lie To the Girls about Cyrus?
• Ali first tells the girls she doesn’t know Cyrus, he is planted there by A.
• She then changes her story to EMILY FIELDS and tells her that she does know
Cyrus, he was her abuser when she was living in his basement- he stole her stuff
and cut her with a knife etc
• And then finally that scene at the end when Ali had dark hair and was basically
being A, blackmailing Cyrus to confess and telling him to get away as fast as
possible.
• Here, there is evidence of the Twin Theory. Since Cyrus knows Ali with blonde hair,
why would Ali put on a dark haired wig to meet him? She could have worn a
hoodie. Also wasn’t Cyrus escorted out by police? Would he really wait around for
Ali to contact him when she could technically just text him? Was the dark haired
girl NOT ACTUALLY ALISON DILAURENTIS?

4. The Recording of Ali’s Kidnapping
• If Ali was the one that set the whole Cyrus
thing up, why would she need to steal the
tape recording of herself, when she could just
tell Cyrus in person what she told Tanner?
Clearly another person had to steal that
recording to learn Ali’s fake story.

5. The flashbacks
• Ali’s flashbacks of the basement, being hit by
Cyrus etc seemed real. Why would she have
fake flashbacks? It doesn’t make any sense.
People don’t do that. I don’t think she’s lying
about Cyrus stealing her stuff etc…

6. Hesitating to ID him…
• If Ali’s plan was the same as A (going on the
theory that she is A) wouldn’t she have said
‘No, this man is NOT my kidnapper?’.
• Cyrus at the end revealed he expected to have
been out of jail way before and was angry he
was left there until the last minute. Why was it
important that Ali leave him there until the
last minute and not ID him straight away?

7. So…What was the point in having
Cyrus fake confess to kidnap?
• Makes Ali not look like a liar
• Now puts all of Tanner’s attention on finding
him again
• If A (possibly Alison) was just going to let him
go in the end, wouldn’t it have been better for
Ali to never ID him, he goes free?

8. Twin Theory
• Because Alison’s flashbacks seemed genuine,
she seemed very scared, the tape recording
was stolen, the dark hair and Cyrus thinking
both Dark and Blonde hair girls are both Ali, I
think Cyrus has met the other twin and thinks
the girls are the same.

9. Twin’s motives
• Make Ali’s story look true
• Her twin knew she would ID Cyrus, because
she chose someone who caused Ali pain
• It WASN’T just a random stranger, because Ali
wouldn’t have cared, she wouldn’t have ID’d a
stranger.
• Using Cyrus was a fail safe plan to make Ali
angry/upset enough to play into the A trap
and ID Cyrus

10. Drumroll…
• I believe: Twin Theory
• And – Alison Dilaurentis is not A, her twin is.
