SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS
I have over 25 years of public speaking experience both in front of live audiences and television viewers. I have been writing
and producing informative and factually accurate news stories for live broadcasts during that time. I have conducted
countless interviews with well-known public figures developing great listening skills allowing me to follow up with
appropriate questions. I have served as a representative for my employer at a variety of fundraisers, fairs, festivals,
graduations, and other community functions. My role as an anchor has required me to meet daily deadlines, think quickly,
and remain calm during tense situations. A perfect example of this would be my coverage of the 1989 Loma Prieta
earthquake, which I experienced sitting in the stands of Candlestick Park! My role as the morning managing editor has
given me an opportunity to serve as a leader in the newsroom and a mentor to the newest members of the team.
