Jasmine is leaving home for a new life and job as either a hairdresser or English teacher. She feels sad, nervous, and excited to start this new chapter away from her family. To remember them, she plans to bring some clothes, a picture of her family, a laptop to stay in contact, a diary to record her experiences, and money for necessities. Jasmine wishes she could have said goodbye to her family in person and will miss taking her brothers to school.

Dear Dairy
Today my new life begins here I am leaving home and
I am not sure what to do I am feeling very sad, nervous,
excited the job when I leave school will be a hairdresser or a
English teacher and I will always think about my family and
the things I will take with me is some clothes to wear if I have
to go in on trips with classes a picture of my family because I
really want to think of my family a lot a laptop because so I
have contact so when I don’t visit them a dairy so I can keep
up with homework or things I did in my spare time and what I
did with new friends and money so I can get food and things to
do it is very unfair that I have left without my family and
without saying bye and I will not be taking my brothers to
school I wish I came back to my family and see them often
when I am free sometimes when I am not busy I can bring my
family with me for a couple of nights and for tea
