MARKET UPDATES & STOCK RECOMMENDATION

DBS Group Holdings, Southeast Asia's biggest
lender, is in advanced talks to buy Societe
Generale's Asian private bank which would help
boost its private banking assets by almost a
third, A successful deal would make it the third
major transaction in Asia's competitive private
banking landscape since the global financial crisis

The Singapore Exchange (SGX) will implement
dynamic circuit breakers and thresholds for error
trades beginning Feb 24, according to an
announcement by the market operator. The circuit
breakers will initially apply to Straits Times Index
and MSCI Singapore Index component stocks and
all securities that trade above 50 cents,

The owners of The Arcade at Collyer Quay, which
include property developer City Developments, are
looking to sell the 20-storey commercial
development located at Collyer Quay at an
indicative price of S$900 million. The 999-year
leasehold development has a maximum allowable
gross floor area of 303,657 square feet.
