The continued recovery on Wall Street overnight could
keep the local sentiments fairly buoyant this morning. But
after another strong 1.2% gain day before yesterday, the
index was hovering just a tad below the 3130 immediate
resistance.
According to Moody's, Singapore's decline in GDP would
be driven mainly by exports and investment. Private
consumption would hold up relatively well. Moody's said
that exports dominate Singapore's economy, amounting
to 226% of GDP in 2012. Global foreign trade activity
drives Singapore's re-export business and in turn GDP
growth.
Singapore Exchange and Clearstream to jointly offer a
collateral management solution. SGX customers will
benefit from more efficient use of their assets held with
SGX's Central Depository as collateral.
According to CIMB, derivatives volume at Singapore
Exchange continued to scale new highs. Futures & options
volume rose 8% qoq while open interest increased 11%
qoq from an already strong 3Q13.
CapitMalls Asia (CMA) is not looking to spin off its assets
in Japan at the moment.
