Cyberbullying involves using technology like social media and text messaging to harass, intimidate or threaten someone repeatedly. It can take many forms such as spreading rumors online, sharing embarrassing photos, sending threatening messages, impersonating others to humiliate them, or excluding someone from online conversations. To prevent cyberbullying, schools should protect reporters from retaliation, educate parents and students, provide counseling, impose discipline, and advise disengaging with cyberbullies.
