Jessie Thorup is a psychology student at Missouri Western State University who will graduate in May 2016 with honors. Her research focuses on ADHD and stigma, and she is currently conducting independent research on how understanding one's own mental processes relates to stigma toward those with ADHD. She has presented research posters at regional conferences and is preparing a manuscript on her independent research topic. Thorup is a member of Psi Chi and Alpha Chi honor societies and receives a psychology department scholarship. She plans to continue her education in a healthcare field after graduating.
