IV. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
Farm Consultant at Barkat Dairies, Multan Road Lahore
(December 2015 – to date)
This farm is part of part of Barkat Textile group. Responsibilities include overall farm
management in all farm operations which include disease control and prevention,
nutrition, record keeping, breeding and reproductive management.

ALP/PARC Project ‘Improving reproductive efficiency of Sahiwal and Cholistani
cows through estrus synchronization and timed artificial insemination (Punjab
component)’
(October, 2014 – March, 2016)
Conducted research experiments at various public and private livestock farms of Punjab.
Performed Doppler Ultrasonography on Sahiwal cattle to know the estrous cycle
physiology of this breed. Worked on different statistical tool used in research data
analysis. Extensively performed estrous synchronization with different protocols in
Sahiwal, Cholistani cows and buffaloes, ultrasonography for follicular dynamics and
pregnancy diagnosis, semen analysis and artificial insemination during these experiments.
Assisted in arrangement of training workshops in collaboration with Michigan State
University, USA and CEBG, okara and LDRC, Muzaffarabad. Actively involved in
purchase of equipment, chemicals/hormones, stationary and miscellaneous items related
to project. Assisted in writing reports (technical and financial) of project. Assisted in
DVM teaching of theory and practical classes.
Also work and assisted supervisor in designing research proposal of M. Phil students and
assisting them in organizing of research activities in fields and farms. Assisted in DVM

As a graduate student designed and conducted various class projects as a part of basic
graduate research training in different courses including, effect of hCG and CIDR
administration post AI on fertility in buffaloes, ovum pick up in buffaloes, embryo
transfer in buffaloes, collection, evaluation and cryopreservation of bovine and poultry
semen, Doppler and B-Mode Ultrasonography in large and small animals. Assisted in
management of dystocia and C-section of large and small animals. Provided extension
services related reproductive issue at various studs and dairy farms under UVAS 24/7
extension service. Actively involved in assisting in organizing different training
workshops and ISDAR-2015.

(February- June, 2011)
During internship period I was rotated in different sections of the farm. At beginning with
management of calf shed including treatment of sick calves, feeding, disbudding and
weaning. Then shifted to milk parlor where duties were look after pre and post milking
dipping of teats, stripping and treatment milking animals suffering from mastitis.
Afterwards, duty assigned was treatment of animals and assist in breeding management
performing heat detection, synchronization and artificial insemination. Assisted in
training to the farmers and veterinarians. Last assignment as an internee was to assist in
feeding management and silage making operation. Then shifted to Nestle Sarsabz Farm
for one week of hands on training of routine farm practices.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: Farm Consultant at Barkat Dairies, Multan Road Lahore (December 2015 – to date) This farm is part of part of Barkat Textile group. Responsibilities include overall farm management in all farm operations which include disease control and prevention, nutrition, record keeping, breeding and reproductive management. Farm Consultant ALP/PARC Project ‘Improving reproductive efficiency of Sahiwal and Cholistani cows through estrus synchronization and timed artificial insemination (Punjab component)’ (October, 2014 – March, 2016) Conducted research experiments at various public and private livestock farms of Punjab. Performed Doppler Ultrasonography on Sahiwal cattle to know the estrous cycle physiology of this breed. Worked on different statistical tool used in research data analysis. Extensively performed estrous synchronization with different protocols in Sahiwal, Cholistani cows and buffaloes, ultrasonography for follicular dynamics and pregnancy diagnosis, semen analysis and artificial insemination during these experiments. CURRICULUM VITAE MUBBASHAR HASSAN 3 Department of Theriogenology UVAS, Lahore (February, 2012- to date) As a graduate student designed and conducted various class projects as a part of basic graduate research training in different courses including, effect of hCG and CIDR administration post AI on fertility in buffaloes, ovum pick up in buffaloes, embryo transfer in buffaloes, collection, evaluation and cryopreservation of bovine and poultry semen, Doppler and B-Mode Ultrasonography in large and small animals. Assisted in management of dystocia and C-section of large and small animals. Provided extension services related reproductive issue at various studs and dairy farms under UVAS 24/7 extension service. Actively involved in assisting in organizing different training workshops and ISDAR-2015. Graduate Student Nestle Pakistan Limited, Sukkhki Farm (February- June, 2011) During internship period I was rotated in different sections of the farm. At beginning with management of calf shed including treatment of sick calves, feeding, disbudding and weaning. Then shifted to milk parlor where duties were look after pre and post milking dipping of teats, stripping and treatment milking animals suffering from mastitis. Afterwards, duty assigned was treatment of animals and assist in breeding management performing heat detection, synchronization and artificial insemination. Assisted in training to the farmers and veterinarians. Last assignment as an internee was to assist in feeding management and silage making operation.
