Profile
I am a highly motivated researcher of new mathematical tools for practical applications in physics and
chemistry at University College London, with two publications as sole author and another two pub-
lications as leading author in highly ranked peer-reviewed journals. Several other publications are
currently under review, and my thesis has been published as a book by Springer-Nature. I am eager
to continue conducting cutting edge research and I have a keen interest in algebraic topology and
geometry as applied to molecular physics, condensed matter, and high energy physics. I have enthu-
siastically and successfully undertaken a four-year self-instigated investigation into the mathematical
origins of physical dualities by means of universal coefficient theorems, building on research skills
and knowledge acquired independently while working at the same time on molecular quantum me-
chanics as a Ph.D. student at University College London. I formed and developed my own productive
collaborations with top European research institutes and London based industrial partners, focusing
on the self-initiated mathematics research program. With a broad international experience covering
various European countries (France, Germany) and USA, I formed collaborations with industry ex-
perts as well as research colleagues at UCL and at other top international research institutes.
Research Skills
Project Preparation and Management - I developed managerial skills throughout the Ph.D. both
during the work on the initial collaborative research theme related to quantum chemistry but also
during the work on the independently initiated and successfully finalised research project on alge-
braic topology and its applications in physics. I planned and prioritised research tasks, I innovated to
achieve results, I allocated research time and resources in order to manage several projects simul-
taneously, independently obtaining and publishing results in highly ranked peer-reviewed scientific
journals associated to two independent research projects. My original license research project was
focused on the study of various molecules by means of density functional theory methods. This work
implied both the use of existing codes and the adaptation of theoretical methods for various cases
arising in molecular and condensed matter physics.
Collaboration - I worked closely with fellow researchers in academia, I added diverse contributions,
I drew inspiration from team results, and collaboratively initiated several research themes. I initiated
collaborations across various disciplines connecting advanced mathematics research with industrial
applications in cryptography. I initiated a partnership with SentryBay, a top 100 online security com-
pany based in London. I initiated interdisciplinary collaborations which involved the Max Planck
Institute for gravitational physics in Golm, Germany as well as ENS Paris, France.
Communication - I successfully demonstrated confident oral presentation skills throughout the Ph.D.,
I was invited as speaker at several international conferences related to the self-initiated research
project, I was invited as speaker at specialized seminars, I gained recognition during regular presen-
tations of results at international conferences, and I was awarded the Springer-Theses prize for the
best Ph.D. thesis, award criteria including both presentation and content.
