I am a System Administrator at CELLS Computing Division in the IT Systems section. My work is
based on IT support for the beamlines, laboratories, control devices and the helpdesk service for staff
and the beamlines users. I am familiar with the TANGO control system,Archiving databases, Taurus
libraries and the Graphical User Interfaces (Taurusforms and Taurustrends). Our Linux systems runs
over Open Suse distributions from 10.1 to 13.2 versions. Furthermore, I have done technical support
for various kind of compactPCIs included the diskless one and I have experience administrating the
PXE server to manage the different network boots modes.
I belong to the Standard Desktop group managing all the Windows and Linux user configuration and
supporting all the possible incidences. We set up Windows 7 PCs, with the automated installations
software as MDT or by PXE network boot. Moreover, I am working for improving the postinstall scrips
that we launch after install the Windows 7, for completing specific configurations automatically. During
the PC preparation for the newcomers, I am in charge of user creation and groups association by the
OpenLDAP, register the PC to the network, install the antivirus, set up the shared units and install
printers. Moreover I am in charge of welcome the new staff members and configure the computer
according to the needs.
In addition, dealing with client-storage configurations by NFS filesystem and set up hardware and
software RAID for the controls and beamlines servers. I have also worked with Clonezilla and Partition
Manager Software as (gparted, partition magic) n order to arrange the partitions for IPCs, beamlines
and control computing equipment.
I have experience installing and configuring network switches, managing cabling database and solving
incidences related with the communication network. On the other hand, I am administrator of
monitoring platforms as Graphite, Nagios and Icinga, following the warnings and alarms and
managing the threshold levels, with the inclusion of new metrics and devices to be controlled.
I am the responsible to manage the IT procurement service at IT Systems managing the purchase
orders, of computing equipment, licenses and supports. I am in contact with the providers and the
CELLS administration division, to solve invoices issues, offers, claims or other tasks.
I am involved in various services as multimedia, printing and desktop virtualization projects as well as
incidences and maintenances. Also collaboration with IT Facilities and IT security group for incidences
and system conditioning.
I am part of the Desktop Virtualization group and I am used to manage the virtual applications, users
and desktop in order to be published at CITRIX. I have fulfilled the course Citrix XenApp and
XenDesktop 7 for VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) for Windows and Linux clients with the GPU
feature HDX 3D.
I write guides and documentation for CELLS users and for the intranet, with the aim to create simple
and intuitive compositions, using workflows and graphical designs. Obtained the PRINCE2
Foundation certification for Project Management and very familiar with the set of practices of ITIL
Service Management. Coursed online the Windows Server 2012 R2 and Active Directory through
pluralsight streaming courses.

13/02/2013–01/04/2014 Synchrotron Operator and RF Engineer

I was working as operator of synchrotron facility in the Control Room as a responsible of the operation
of the accelerator. Moreover I solved technical incidences and created diagnostic platforms in order to
improve the synchrotron operation.
I have obtained the License of "Radiological Facility Advisor" and "Operator of Synchrotron" by
Nuclear Security Council in Spain. On the other hand, I was working at RF group from Accelerator
Division in for the control and diagnostic equipment for the RF Plants, the Low Level RF and statics
automatized operational reports.
Involved on the installation and commissioning of certain RF Systems as Wave Guides CoStubs,
IOTs, Transmitters, Water flow adjustments and control signals.
Obtained other licenses as EPI (Equipo de Primera Intervención), FirstAid course, the External
Defibrillation Equipment and the gas manipulation license for SF6, located in the RF and LINAC
waveguides.

I was working in the Bistatic Research Group of Theory and Signal Department of the Polytechnic
University of Catalonia with a design of a Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) system. My objective was
develop a synchronous acquisition system to lock the Radar signals from the satellites Envisat,
Radarsat 2 and TerraSAR and its scattered radiation from a surfaces like Mountains or Building, to
elaborate a high resolution radiometric studies in Interferometry and Polarimetry.
Furthermore, my task was to realise a signal processing simulations with Matlab tool and
programming several devices and instrumentation like FPGA's, Microcontrollers, Synthesizers and
PXI's for specific configurations in order to make experimental acquisitions from ESA(European
Space Agency) satellites and process the signal scattered.
Our Bistatic SAR system is used in several scientific areas like Earth observation, Geology,
Oceanography, Meteorology, Environment science and more others to obtain information from natural
surfaces and its compositions with SAR imagery.
