Transnational role of young manager in a new-age economy:towards buliding sus...vikash kumar upadhyay
The crux of the topic can be fragmented into three components:
Role of Young Managers:
Industrial age Manager: The operating style of industrial-age managers is represented by a metaphor of the organization-as-person, where the “head” thinks and the “hands” do.
But nowadays the role of manager has been re-invented. The modern manager needs to get work done through engaged, self-managing knowledge workers, who are a far cry from the “hired hands” of the industrial age. The role of today’s manager can be illustrated by four analogies. Today’s managers need to behave something like:
1. investors
2. customers
3. sports coaches
4. partners
New age economy:
New and high-growth industries that are on the cutting edge of technology are the driving force of economic growth. The new economy is commonly believed to have started in the late 1990s, as high tech tools, such as the internet, and increasingly powerful computers, began penetrating the consumer and business marketplace
Companies in the new economy are heavily involved in the internet and biotech industries, but the ripple effects of new technologies has spread out to all other industries as well.
Example: Thermal Power plant automation.

Sustainable organization:
Sustainable organization is a organization that delivers ever-improved values to customers and stakeholders by achieving highest possible standards in their:
1) Day to day work
2) The quality of service it provides.
Sustainable organizations seek to implement strategies which provide them with economic and cultural benefits attained through environmental responsibility. Recently, the natural environment has become a key strategic issue in both the business and academic communities.
