06/2015 – Present: Sample Management QC Specialist, Nutritional Chemistry and Food Safety
Ms. Eckelaert is responsible for reviewing the accuracy of entries in the LabWare Information
Management System (NIMS) by Sample Coordinators within the Sample Management department of
NCFS. In addition to reviewing for accuracy, Ms. Eckelaert provides feedback to help improve
accuracy, and guides the Sample Management team towards bettering the NCFS “Right the First Time”
metric. Additional duties include training new staff, SampleKinect and NIMS
troubleshooting/enhancement support, completing NIMS Change Requests, and tracking metrics
associated with NIMS Changes.
03/2015 – 06/2015: Sample Coordinator III, Nutritional Chemistry and Food Safety
In addition to the Sample Coordinator II responsibilities, Ms. Eckelaert’s responsibilities included
SampleKinect training and guidance for department colleagues, and participation in SampleKinect
enhancement initiatives, NIMS enhancement initiatives, NIMS Changes, receipt of client checks,
metrics tracking, and new staff training. She was responsible for multiple dedicated client accounts to
ensure accuracy of sample entry and to maintain client confidence. Ms. Eckelaert also cross-trained on
entry review to expand her knowledge of the Sample Management team.
08/2013 – 03/2015: Sample Coordinator II, Nutritional Chemistry and Food Safety
Ms. Eckelaert was responsible for a variety of sample preparation tasks in compliance with Standard
Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs), and regulatory guidelines in support
of departmental operations. These responsibilities included entering, labeling, and disposition of
samples, as well as coordinating with Client Service Coordinators to ensure proper entry and handling
of samples in accordance with client guidelines. Ms. Eckelaert also handled internal customer
questions, troubleshooted problems, and contacted internal clients for clarification when needed.
01/2011 – 05/2013: Student Lab Assistant, Department of Kinesiology, University of Wisconsin-

Ms. Eckelaert created and implemented a research study and worked with other lab associates to collect and
