She has a BA in Printed Textiles from Surrey Institute of Art and Design and an MA in Fine Art Textiles from Goldsmiths College London. Her work experience includes teaching positions at various colleges and as an artist-in-residence. She has had numerous solo exhibitions of her work and participated in many group exhibitions internationally. Rosie James has also received commissions and awards for her textile art and has been published in several books on the subject.
