As a hospitality professional by heart with passion and dedication for the hotel industry I want to utilize my practical and educational experience in the position of General Manager / Area General Manager. In excess of 35 years academic and professional experience in the hospitality industry concentrated in hotels with large Food and Beverage operations I enjoyed international exposure around the globe. My stay in this field has exposed me multicultural, bearing a positive outlook in life and enjoying becoming an aspirator to my staff and fellow hoteliers as well as a diplomatic coordinator between owners and hotel management companies. Eight years as owner of my own hotel gave me the opportunity to see the other side of the coin of hotel ownership. Back in the luxury hotel industry, the opening of the 6* Jumeirah Dhevanafushi Maldives was a very special experience in the high end hospitality industry. In October 2012, I rejoined IHG and did the pre opening of the Intercontinental Haitang Bay Sanya in China, a 303 room hotel with 38 deluxe villas and the first seawater aquarium within a hotel in China, which I successfully opened (my 6th hotel opening!) in December 2013 and operating very successfully and profitable since then with many awards received within the first year of operation. Since March 2015 I am heading the InterContinental Lijiang Ancient Town and the adjacent Hotel Indigo Lijiang Ancient Town as Complex General Manager.
