I am currently working as maintenance technician at Transnet Engineering and I
am working for MPE (Maintenance of Plant and Equipment).
3. SHEDDING (A, B & CSHED) LIFTING SHOP AND DEFECTS REPAIRS
(a) Bogie inspection, this includes inspection and repairs on brake riggings
(b) Inspection and measurements on wheels and brake blocks
(c) External and internal body inspection

WORKING AS A PROJECT COORDINATOR
I worked for an establishing company on a contract base for six months (August
2003-January 2004) as a project co-ordinator. My role was as follows:
(a) Doing material checks as per scope of the project.
(b) Doing site visits to monitor the progress of the project.
(c) Arranging site meetings and addressing problems concerning the project.
WORKING AS A QUALIFIED METERING TECHNICIAN
(a) Doing installation, testing and commissioning of metering instruments including
CT/VT units, current and voltage transformers. Installation and programming
of digital meters.
(b) Doing fault investigations and maintenance on metering installations.
DOING EXPERIENTIAL TRAINING AT ESKOM (JANUARY 2000-JUNE 2000)
I got exposure at the following sections at Distribution department:

(a) Full time study at a Technikon (studying power engineering) and I obtained S1,

WORKING AS A QUALIFIED ELECTRICIAN (1995-1997)
(a) Doing inspections on apparatus in a high voltage yard
(b) Planning outages for maintenance on equipments and repairs on high voltage
lines ( 11, 22, 88 and 220 kV )
(c) Doing stand-by duties.
(d) Keeping myself up to date with Regulations for High Voltage Systems.
TRAINING AS AN APPRENTICE ELECTRICIAN (1992-1995)
(a) Doing theoretical training at a technical college ( N courses )

equipments in high voltage yard and high voltage lines.
