Experience:
Work in Public Water Corporation (PWC), now Drinking Water & Sanitation Unit
(DWSU) / Ministry of Water Resources and Electricity – Khartoum – Sudan in General
Directorate of Projects Execution (from Nov 1999 up to Oct 2015) as consultant
supervisor of water & sanitation projects implementation.
Engineering Experience:
 Supervision the implementation of engineering and construction works of water and
sanitation projects these are: water treatment plants, desalination plants, boreholes
(ground & surface), transmission pipelines and water distribution systems (various type
and size).
 Supervision the implementation of Rainwater harvesting projects and techniques such
as dams (embankment, masonry and concrete), haffirs, bonds, reservoirs, dykes,
terraces, conduits, canals, etc for various purposes of collection, distribution,
conveyance, flood control and others.
 Review and study design documents for various water projects and implementation
plans, as well as engineering and construction basic and detailed drawings.
 Participate and assist in the design of water distribution networks, water treatment
plants and dams beside soil investigation and feasibility studies.
 Quantity survey, calculation and estimation (BOQs) with connection to the drawings
and contracts beside assistance in the preparation and development of technical and
engineering contracts.
 Follow-up inspection and preparation of documents, letters and certificates related to
project such as investigation, permissions, achievement, receipts, handover and others.
 Preparation of progress reports as required (daily, weekly, monthly ...... etc) and
meeting reports.
 Writing and preparation of engineering technical reports.
 Good knowledge of project planning and management of the site and development and
follow up the implementation time schedules.
 Implementation and supervision of construction works such as reinforced concrete,
brick, timber, and steel structures, etc in terms of inspection and quality assurance.
 Supervision the implementation of earthworks (excavation, embankment and
compaction).
 Supervision, implementation and management of projects and programs of
humanitarian emergencies and natural disasters.
 Check and approve the quality of the materials used in construction, erection and
installation (cement, aggregates, concrete, steel, rebar, soil, pipes, accessories ....)
 Technical and field work using GPS by surveying the target area and record the
reference points and coordinates to be linked with Geographic Information Systems
(GIS programs) such as (Map source, Google Earth, etc).
 Identification of work goals, undertaking field survey and analyzing collected data to be
used in the development and preparation of the partial and strategic plans of integrated
water resources development.
