The App:
An SOS app to to report social and medical emergencies, and get
personal and community crowd-sourced help fast.

● This Java based SOS app holds and displays personal and
medical data.
● When SOS is clicked cudl automatically sends messages to
personal emergency contacts and cudl community nearby.
● When users hit SOS, cudl displays:
○ medical and personal info for responders,
○ nearest hospitals to the current location,

● Data is sourced from APIs including the US National Institute of
Health, Geonames <><>
● The app communicates with server to send latitude and longitude
data.
● This is used to retrieve nearby hospital and street info via
connected data sources.

● cudl includes a service, Heartbeat, to crowd-source local help
● It enables alerts to be sent, anonymously and securely, to nearby
people with devices that also run cudl.
● This notifies them that someone nearby is in distress, so crowd-
sourcing help.
