RE: Paycom Implementation and Recommendation
To whom it may concern:
This letter is a summary and reference related to our recent migration from ADP to Paycom in
April of 2016. Our Company was an ADP client for many years before we made the decision to
engage Paycom as our HRMS vendor. We’re a mid-sized employer and were looking for a
HRMS system that was fluid, user friendly and remained current with ever changing technology.
There were several reasons we opted to engage Paycom but our decision was heavily based on
the integrated HR/Payroll cloud based technology; Paycom’s ability to do upgrades transparent
to the user and many of their features like time and attendance; on-line transactions; the
recruitment module; the onboarding tools; their reporting features and the list goes on and on!
Although Stefanie Wooldridge did a thorough job convincing us that Paycom was a good fit for
our business and culture, we were still a little skeptical about their implementation approach after
years of tedious upgrades and changes with ADP. For example; we all carried angst for weeks
thinking about going live with payroll without a test run! Most of our worries were for not and
our migration led by Chad Cossairt and the Paycom Associates went pretty smooth. The
transition was also transparent to our employees until it was time to train them to use the self-
service tools. While our workforce doesn’t always like change, our employees made a pretty
effortless transition utilizing the Paycom tools.
Overall Crown Media has been pleased with the transition to Paycom and things are working
well however, we would encourage anyone considering Paycom to thoroughly explore concerns
to ensure you are comfortable with and have knowledge of how specific implementation
processes work. For example: cloud based technology is wonderful but it is not a “one size fits
all” and there are nuances that differ from Company to Company. In our case, we faced
challenges with our connectivity to our 401(K) Administrator. While Paycom had worked with
our Administrator on other 401(K) Plans certain nuances of our plan design were unique and
created problems that needed to be solved for in advance. In retrospect, we could and should
have spent more time on the front end with the Paycom team exploring the logistics of how this
gets done. Ideally, this should have been done well in advance of the first payroll run. We were
not diligent as a client to press this issue but the commitment, partnership and customer service
delivered from the Paycom implementation team was terrific in resolving the matter.
We are happy with our HRMS system and our current Paycom partnership. Customer service is
great, the team is professional and responsive and the learning tools are right at our fingertips.
The system has tremendous potential to align with some of our key processes and we look
forward to exploring further and building our expertise to make our business processes simpler
and more efficient.
Today, we look forward to a longstanding relationship and would recommend Paycom, and
specifically working with Stefanie, Chad and Mallory on your implementation – “Thanks
