Management of Open water club Split in this successful competition year
decided to make another big step. Organization of the swimming race at 10
km titled CROATIA OPENWATER. Race that took place around the islands
Galijera even 49 years ago we want to renew and continue.For friends of
the hard sport once again we prove hospitable side of our city over 1700
years old. Residence of the Emperor Diocletianus our SPLIT in the coming
years will be host of best openwater swimmers of the world in our waters.
We expect this race very quickly become part of the family FINA World cup
10km.Protected Eco Kastela Bay in the crystal clear waters will be the
scene of the best races in the youngest (Race for Kids 500 m), recreation
(racing challenges 2000m), OPEN CROATIAN PARALYMPIC
CHAMPIONSHIP (Paralympic race 2.000m) and professional swimmers
(Race PRO-X 10.000m).

8. RULES & REGULATIONS
• Organizer provides health care and lifeguards during the competition.
- Competitors during the performances have an escort ship, rescuers and
divers.
- During the competition, the automatic disqualification will be caused in
cases of:
• - Track shortening (however, if a competitor trespasses middle track (so
called referee's track) with an intention to turn around the set buoy, it would
not be considered as a track shortening;
• - Any physical conflict during the competition such as hitting another
swimmer and the like; Stopping, resting and being in any contact with banks
of the Regatta tracks, Coming into contact either with rescue team boats or
with escorting kayakers (in order to rest or take the break).
- The Race Commission keeps the right to change and add the above rules
of competition.
• - The competition is held in accordance with the provisions of the
Regulations for competitions in swimming HSDP & FINA
• Refreshment competitors are allowed to add only with a stick or a
telescopic handle with the edge of the coast

9. SAFETY RULES
• All races are open to: all licensed at 10.000m race and unlicensed
competitors and amateurs at 500m and 2.000m race
• Each competitor starts at your own risk - acknowledging that his
own signature when filling Applications for participation in the
marathon, which is not transferable to the competition organizer or
in case of force majeure. For participants younger than 18 years
with his signature guarantees a parent or coach. The application is
signed Declaration parent / coach to permit the participation of a
minor competitor in the race.Minor persons without a parent / coach
will not be allowed to participate in the competition.
• All competitors signing confirm that they are medically fit to perform
at 500m or 2,000 m
• time limit for the 2000m race is 45min after the start
• time limit for 10.000m is 90min after winner+60 min on your own risk
• All feeder refreshments & coach are required to attend the briefing
