2. Check Punctuation
Watch Out for Homonyms, e.g. accept
or except as well as contractions and
apostrophes.

3. Read it backwards
Going sentence at a time in the
opposite way helps you to see the
mistakes properly.

4. Put it on paper
Sometimes proofreading on a computer
monitor may not work as you may miss
hidden errors. Print out a copy and go
over it on paper.

5. Ask a friend
Get someone else to proofread it. This
will give you a break and your friend
can spot mistakes.

6. Read it aloud
If you read aloud, your ears might
catch errors that your eyes may have
missed.
