Creative director cover letter sample 1
Dear Mr Jackson
My outstanding designing and creative skills and capability of being perfectionist with my
work make me an ideal applicant for the job post. I learned about the job post for the
position of creative director in your organization in (mention the source of the job
vacancy). As requested I have attached my resume with this letter.
I am currently working with (mention the name of your current company) for the last six
years and know exactly what is expected from a creative director. Here my key role was in
the development of high level concepts and in the design projects. I have worked with
both external and internal clients and know the requirements and needs of both of them.
Apart from all these, I was also responsible in the recruiting and managing of the design
firms and other deign resources. Other than this I was responsible with writing and
designing headlines and helping in drawing advertisement boards. At time I had to create
our own actual advertisements. I can adapt to the changing schedules and deadlines. I am
a team player and capable of working with the account executives. I am highly organized
and good with communication skills. I can handle long travel and stress associated with
my work.
If you have any queries related to my work please do call me at (insert contact details) or
email me at (mention your email address). I would be glad if you conduct an interview
wherein we can discuss on this more.

Dear Mr Jackson

Cover letter
sample

You will want to interview me for the Creative Director position with Starbucks because I
have outstanding design/creative skills, am a perfectionist who always strives to improve
what I do, and thrive on challenges.
In my current position, as creative director for a former start-up beverage company, the
president of my firm came to me and asked if I could add an animation piece to the
presentation that he was to give at a conference a couple of days from then. He wanted
an animated graphic of himself jumping up and down. At that time, I didn't have any
experience in creating animated graphics, but the request intrigued me. I found the
application to design it in and was able to create an animated graphic of my boss jumping
up and down while waving a white flag! It was very funny, and my boss was very
impressed that I was able to pull it off, especially in such a short timeframe. He thought
he was giving me an impossible request, but I made it possible. Most people would just
say no when asked to do things they've never done before, but I see it as a personal
challenge and an opportunity to learn something new.
After you review the enclosed résumé and visit with me, I think you'll agree that I'm the
missing piece to your team. My experience in the creative field is solid, from developing a
strong corporate image from the ground up to developing quirky traditions with a lasting
impression. I have enclosed a puzzle (one of the traditions I have instituted in my current
position) to challenge you and to remind you to give me a call.
I will follow up with you in the next few days and look forward to meeting you. Thank you
for your time and consideration.
Yours sincerely
Mark Dixon
