GOAL
How does one make changes to a PO approval (position) hierarchy or define a new hierarchy? The old hierarchy is not
relevant any more.
SOLUTION
The existing hierarchy can be copied and then make changes to it, or simply start with a new hierarchy.
To copy an existing hierarchy, please navigate using these steps:
1. Using an US HRMS Manager responsibility, Navigate to Work Structures > Position > Hierarchy.
2. Enter the new name of the new position hierarchy.
3. Save
4. Enter the Version number
5. Enter the Date from : I used the same date as the original position hierarchy i'm going to copy from
6. Click on the "Copy Hierarchy" button.
7. Query the position hierarchy to copy from
8. Click on COPY
9. Save
To start with a new hierarchy, if you don't want to copy previous version of the hierarchy:
1. Query the hierarchy you want to create a new version of.
2. Put an end date and save.
3. Press 'arrow down' , system automatically puts next version number, enter the "Date From."
4. Press save.

5. Now in lower block start creating your new hierarchy. Start with querying the position you want as top position and in
lowest block add the positions you want to add underneith that top position.
