".....Dominick M Maino, O.D., M.Ed., FAAO, FCOVD-A, professor of pediatrics and binocular vision at the Illinois College of Optometry and private practitioner at Lyons Family Eye Care in Chicago, imagines a world in which people with dementia wear unobtrusive GPS devices that allow family members to easily track them if they leave the safety of their homes. Or, he imagines Google Contacts, which are being designed to monitor blood glucose levels, working seamlessly with insulin pumps, so one's blood sugar never veers out of healthy range. The possibilities are endless. Already, engineers are developing bracelets for the hearing impaired that can translate hand movements into words. For optometrists such as Dr. Maino, who see a great number of patients with disabilities, such technology could be quite useful.

Climate Impact of Software Testing at Nordic Testing DaysKari Kakkonen
My slides at Nordic Testing Days 6.6.2024
Climate impact / sustainability of software testing discussed on the talk. ICT and testing must carry their part of global responsibility to help with the climat warming. We can minimize the carbon footprint but we can also have a carbon handprint, a positive impact on the climate. Quality characteristics can be added with sustainability, and then measured continuously. Test environments can be used less, and in smaller scale and on demand. Test techniques can be used in optimizing or minimizing number of tests. Test automation can be used to speed up testing.

company in the fields of aesthetic medicine and surgery (Prize for the Assizes for Innovation in Aesthetic
Medicine won in 2019); well known for its dynamic and perfectly standardized Before / After imaging solution,
announces today the development of a medical robotics technology intended to improve patient care, for
more precise results while facilitating the work of the Medical team.

PRESS INVITATION
Join us at IMCAS 2020
A new era in the history of aesthetic medicine opens on robotics and artificial intelligence thanks to
the NextMotion company which has developed an autonomous robotic arm capable of carrying out the
treatment plans predefined by the doctor by executing injections with remarkable precision, far superior to
the human hand (whether concerning the injection point, the sensibility or even the volume injected).
In practice, the robot is equipped with proximity sensors as well as a 4K camera with facial recognition
capability. The doctor draws up a treatment plan according to the patient’s needs. This plan is then
transmitted to the robot which performs the injections under medical supervision.
Clinical studies are currently in progress to confirm that this new practice will provide more precision
for better aesthetic results, and especially less pain for the patient.
The medical certification process is planned; the first aesthetic medical clinics will be able to equip themselves
with robot injectors from spring 2022.
This new technology, which is part of the NextMotion ecosystem, must
be considered as an additional tool offered to practitioners in order to
offer more precision, safety and satisfaction to their patients.

2. About the NextMotion solution:
The NextMotion solution is a real toolbox, designed by a doctor serving his community in order to improve
the best practices of his colleagues.
Patients are more and more demanding of treatments with natural and discreet results which are
unfortunately not sufficiently highlighted by classic (static) photos, often poorly standardized and sometimes
even not very credible, unlike the videos made with NextMotion (in dynamic ), allowing to observe the reality
of the results from all angles and in motion:
raise and frown, smile for botox / tilt head forward for a facelift / spread and cross arms for breast augmentation.
Standardization of Before-After:
Thanks to a dedicated application, all the components
that make a good Before / After comparability are perfectly
mastered: positioning of the patient and the camera, colors,
shadows, lights.
The acquisition process achieves incomparable quality and
reproducibility thanks to the perfect alchemy obtained
between a rotating device which turns around the patient and
a smartphone which both controls the device and records the
images before and after each treatment.1
Digitization of the medical office:
All recorded data is automatically transferred to a secure medical cloud, EU-GDPR2
and HIPAA3
compliant, in
order to make it available on any device in the clinic and thus create a perfect interaction within the nursing
staff.
- Doctor platform: Doctors have access to a dedicated service3
allowing
them to create digital documents which can be signed by their patients
directly on a tablet. In particular, this avoids printing and storing large
paper files.
- Patient platform: Patients also have their own secure area, allowing
them to access all of their data and easily stay in touch with the medical
team for optimal monitoring.
3D capture and simulation tools:
The NextMotion application makes it possible to perform 3D scans of the face
and body in very high resolution and in a record time of 15 seconds, offering
patients the possibility of making realistic simulations, but also superimposing
the points of injections performed session after session.
Augmented Reality at the service of patients - The Magic Mirror tool offers
patients the possibility of observing the result of the aesthetic interventions
offered in real time on their own face (or body). The doctor can also display
an anatomical mask on the patient’s face to explain precisely the approach to
each of the treatments offered.
NextMotion will unveil a world preview of its robotic arm as well as its latest innovations at the
international IMCAS 2020 fair which will take place at the Palais des Congrès de Paris - Porte
Maillot, from January 30 to February 1, 2020.
1 - The NextMotion application is available on iPhone and iPad, optimized for iPhone X or newer, as well as the iPad Pro
2 - EU-GDPR: Regulation n ° 2016/679, known as General Data Protection Regulation is a European Union regulation which
constitutes the reference text in matters of protection of personal data
3 - HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996) is a US legislation that provides data privacy and security
provisions for safeguarding medical information
4 - NextMotion Connect is the digitization service developed by the company NextMotion
