Greetings,
My backgrounds includes 2 electric system design (Senior Capstone Design Project – Larcoop
and Design of House and Bakery Electric System). In the design of the house and the bakery, I
calculated the energy demand, analysis of the wiring distribution, design a photovoltaic system and estimate
the cost of an electric system. Also we need to do the voltage drop analysis. This design was does on Visio.
Right now I am working with the design of a cooperative (bank), this project is as a team. In this project we
need to do the power distribution, lighting distribution, fire alarm distribution, security distribution,
telecommunications distribution and the design of the substation. The project is doing in AutoCAD and the
part of the lighting is doing in Visual. In both projects we need to execute with the NEC and the Puerto Rico
Electrical Energy Authority regulation.
Innovation Project: Power Cycle was a group project. In that project we need to implement a
company and the money that we need to start it and how are going to be the profit. We implement a rectifier
and select a bicycle, alternator and a battery. The idea come to the people that like the exercise and want
to save money on the electrical energy bills. I work in the design and simulation of the rectifier. The project
we not need to does because it was in the power electronics class and this was an only an introduction
curse to this area.
Power Flow and Fault in a Bus was a group project. We calculated the voltage in a single line to
ground fault. Also we calculated double line to ground fault, line to line fault and a tree-phase fault. In this
project we does the newton analysis and the fault analysis in the Power World Simulator. Also we does a
matlab code to calculate the fault in the bus. In the code you need to indicate how many bar has the system
and in what bus occur the fault.
In the Simon Say Game Programming was an individual project. The game was does on the
microprocessors MSP430. In that project you need to do an analytical analysis, hardware design and
software design. The game consist in two different difficult. The difficult one was with the light on and the
sound. The difficult two was only with the sound. The user select the difficult level when he turn on the
game or when he loose. If he press a button that are in front of the light he select the difficult one and if the
user press the button that not are in the front of the light he select the difficult two. I need to turn on the light
and every light was a different sound. The code need to verify every time what button the user press and if
the user are selecting a difficult or if the user are playing the game. If the user are playing the game and he
press the wrong button you loose and you need to start selecting a difficult again.
Finally I take the course Computer Competence for Managerial Decision Making. This course was
from the business administration program, but this course was very useful for the engineering department.
In this course you understand the useful that can be Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel. This three
software you use most of the time for different projects and analysis.
